     Pulled some extra on-call this week, covered monday and tuesday for a co-worker, got a few hours overtime out of it.  Now I have 2 days off, then back to work friday for my on-call weekend.  Got a lot of chores to do the next couple days, but first I need to relax for a couple hours, clear my mind.      My oldest child is home from her trip to Myrtle Beach, she had a great time.  Her first time swimming in salt water, some good meals at some very nice places, some fun memories to last a lifetime.  I am glad she got the opportunity to go, but I am so glad to have her back home again.      My son is expressing a little frustration with his band.  His bandmates are good kids, but to be honest, I have never cared much for their musical style.  And one of them has developed a huge ego problem.  My son is quite a good bass player, he starts in a new school this fall, maybe he will meet some new musicians there, and can branch out to a new band.     My middle child, my 19 year old daughter, has been hanging out with friends a lot lately, enjoying her summer.  Good to see her smiling so much.    I feel blessed to have such good kids, never any real trouble from any of them, they are all happy, well adjusted young people.  They all have some very good friends, and the whole group interacts well.       My wife(?) has seemed to be very happy since she got home from her house-sitting stint, makes me feel good to see her in a good mood.     Life is good right now, hope everything stays just like this for a while.
