     Had a pretty decent Fourth of July celebration here.  My younger daughter, my son, and I watched the fireworks from our front yard, and set off our little Michigan-legal fireworks in the back yard.  It was a lot of fun watching all the illegal skyrockets going up all over the nieghborhood. We could see them much better than the sanctioned display at the airport.  And some of the nieghborhood stuff seemed just as big and colorful as the airport stuff.  Some people really go all out, go across the state line with a lot of money, and bring back enough to really do it up right.  The whole nieghborhood seemed to be in a good mood, everyone partying, having a good time.        We have been kind of stranded at home over the weekend, my wife(?) has our car.  But she did stop by every day to see if we needed anything.  She took us to the grocery store on friday, and took us to rent movies yesterday, and we all stopped for pizza.   We stayed busy here at home, pulled more weeds, and put down the wood mulch that was left from last time it was on sale.  Today we are going to clean the entire house, my wife(?) comes home tonight, and we want her to have a neat, tidy home when she gets here.  My older daughter will be home in a couple days, we have been missing her terribly.    I scheduled a few vacation days over the next two weeks, working monday and tuesday, off wednesday and thursday, working friday because I am on call for the weekend, then off for another monday through wednesday.  Would be a nice long break, if not for that on-call weekend.    Going to let the kids sleep til about 9am, then wake them to help me clean the house.  I'll make them something for breakfast before we get started.
